Singapore’s heaven, the Punggol Northshore Mall, is established in the core centre of the Northshore District in Punggol Eco Town. The mall is divided into two plazas: Northshore Plaza-I and Northshore Plaza-II. The first mall opened in October 2021, and after its success, along with an unhandled crowd, the other plaza-II started its opening journey in January 2022.
Both the plazas are linked with a visually attractive bridge over Northshore Drive, symbolizing Singapore’s dedication to sustainable growth and spaces that prioritize community well-being, offering a respite from the bustle of the city. Northshore Plaza is a unique waterfront New Generation Neighborhood Centre in Singapore’s Punggol Eco-Town. It comprises two sections, Northshore Plaza I and II, designed to connect the residential blocks seamlessly, the Samudera LRT station, and the sea.
The structure incorporates a combination of shopping malls, shopping streets, and parks, all connected with greenery and featuring wood-effect aluminium cladding that resembles the colours of the trees.
Facade louvres promote natural ventilation and shade the interior from the sun, and the skylights allow natural light to stream in.
This air-passing design structure helps the plaza showcase the natural environment and provides a ventilated community area, which extends alongside the common green to Punggol Promenade. The sheltered walkway provides residents convenient access to the waterfront, encouraging outdoor activities and community interaction.
